Sunwell or Bust Forever loot rules · Forever
One number that says where every raider stands — built from attendance, performance, raid-night effort, and the loot you've already won. The council still decides; the score keeps the decision fair, fast, and visible to everyone.
A guideline, not a guarantee. The council also weighs effort and contributions made to the guild outside raids — organizing, crafting, farming, keeping the machine running — which no sheet can quantify. Standing higher in the table does not entitle anyone to an item ahead of someone below them.
Loot council works when people trust it. Right now the inputs to that trust — who shows up, who performs, who was geared last month — live in three different tools and in officers' heads. The Priority Score pulls those inputs into one standing number per raider, recomputed automatically every night. It doesn't replace the council's judgment on any single item; it replaces the arguing about whose turn it is.
Share of the last 8 raid resets you attended. Signing up and getting benched counts as attending — sitting for the guild never costs you priority. Getting rostered and not showing counts as nothing; signing tentative and not showing earns half a night. Being on the board at all takes at least 3 Raid-Helper signups in the last 5 weeks (a raid you were at that had no Raid-Helper event counts as one) — stop signing and you drop off until you sign again.
Your median Warcraft Logs percentile over the last 4 resets, in your item-level bracket. Median, not best — one lucky parse doesn't move it. Tanks and healers are scored flat at 75 — tanking doesn't parse, and healing parses mostly measure who sniped the overheals.
Consumable use on boss kills over the last 4 resets: potions and flask/elixirs weigh most, then food and scrolls. Fully in your own hands, unlike a parse.
Officer and Raider ×1.0; Member ×0.9; Trial ×0.6. A lower multiplier scales the whole score, so a trial earns the same numbers and stands a little lower until promoted.
Points for items you've recently won, keeping their full price for 1 week, then fading to nothing 9 weeks after the win. Big wins push you down the list for a few resets, then age out.
The weighting follows one principle: the more of the input you personally control, the more it counts. Attendance is half the score — showing up is fully your choice and it's what kills raids when it slips. Effort comes next at 35 because flasking, eating, and potting are pure personal choices too, visible in the log every night. Performance stays a nudge at 15: parses lean on kill times, comp, and gear that no single raider controls — and for healers they barely measure anything, which is why healers (like tanks) take a flat 75 there and compete on attendance and effort instead.
E is read straight out of the combat log for boss kills — no screenshots, no consume checks at the raid entrance. Each raid night scores four things:
| Component | Full credit for | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| Potions | One potion per boss kill, on average — mana, mighty rage, greater stoneshield, the greater protection potions, free/living action and limited invulnerability potions, and dark/demonic runes. Healers are exempt — no proactive combat potion exists for them, so their weight shifts to flask and food. | 30% |
| Flask | Flask uptime across your kills (flasks survive death — Forever's own Natural Accuracy, Aggression, Precision and Swiftness, and vanilla's Titans, Supreme Power, Distilled Wisdom and Chromatic Resistance) — or the share of kills entered with two elixirs; vanilla stacks them freely. A lone elixir earns half. | 30% |
| Food | The share of your kills entered Well Fed. | 20% |
| Scrolls | The share of your kills entered with an Agility or Strength scroll. Melee DPS and hunters only — caster scrolls collide with raid buffs, so casters, healers, and tanks are scored on the other three components alone. | 20% |
Every fraction runs the full scale — no rounding up: 10 of 12 kills entered fed is 83%, not 100%. But the scale is honest about what you control. Deaths never cost credit: buffs are judged by the game's own snapshot at the kill pull, so dying mid-kill changes nothing — but a wipe resets the check, so re-flask, re-eat and re-buff before the next pull. And only the kills you were actually in count against you, so an agreed early leave is attendance's business, not effort's. Drums are a group cooldown, not a personal consumable, so they're ignored. Every consumable the log can see counts, including the ones whose buff name hides what it is (Elixir of Greater Firepower shows as "Greater Firepower", Elixir of Shadow Power as "Shadow Power") and the Jujus, the Zanza brews and Mageblood, which count as elixirs. Who counts as melee is read from your logged spec, so an elemental shaman owes no scroll and an enhancement shaman does.
Every item awarded through RCLootCouncil adds debt based on how significant it was. An award keeps its full price for 1 week, then loses 12.5% of it a week — it is worth nothing 9 weeks after it was won. A 30-point weapon costs you 30 points this reset, ~26 two weeks later, ~15 after five weeks, and nothing from 9 weeks after the win.
| Tier | Our RCLC button | What counts | Debt |
|---|---|---|---|
| Legendary | council award | Council-assigned legendaries (the Hyjal Summit questline's, once one is completed) — major ×1.5 | 45 |
| Major | Best in slot | Real weapons — melee for most classes, ranged for hunters — and best-in-slot trinkets | 30 |
| Standard | Best in slot | Any other mainspec upgrade, including stat-stick weapon slots (wands, thrown, a hunter's melee) | 15 |
| Tier token | Best in slot | Tier set pieces — Hyjal Summit's sets — priced by their supply rather than their slot | 10 |
| Minor | Upgrade | Small upgrades, sidegrades | 6 |
| Offspec | Off Spec | Offspec pieces | 3 |
| Free | Disenchant · Pass | Uncontested drops, anything banked, recipes crafted for the guild (and any pattern taken offspec), shards — also anyone who didn't respond in time | 0 |
One button, one price: Best in slot prices itself from the item (weapon → major, tier token → token, everything else → standard), and Upgrade, Off Spec, and Disenchant/Pass map straight to their tiers — no extra bookkeeping on loot night. Raid-dropped patterns, plans, gem designs and enchant formulas are free, whatever the button: the crafter makes the piece, cuts the gem or applies the enchant for the guild, so the recipe costs its holder nothing. The one exception is a recipe whose piece binds on pickup — only the crafter can wear it — and even that is free when it was taken on an offspec roll: the guild gains a crafter either way, which is the point of the drop. A BoP-crafting pattern taken for mainspec prices by the button like any item (minor at most). Winning a recipe crosses the crafted item off your wishlist: what drops is the pattern, what you wanted is the piece it makes. A non-unique ring or trinket may sit on a wishlist twice — you have two slots — with each win crossing off one copy. And slot is not price: a short open list of chase items that are game-lasting BiS or contested across half the raid — the pieces on the guild's major-items list, filled in once Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit and Onyxia's Lair have been seen — counts major (30) no matter what slot it fills, checked against published BiS lists each phase. Disenchants are free no matter what the item is: sharding for the bank never costs the disenchanter anything.
| Raider | A | P | E | D | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Frostwyn Kell · Raider 94% attendance · median parse 78 · consumables 92% · no recent loot | 0.94 | 0.78 | 0.92 | 0.0 | 90.7 |
| Aurelion Vance · Raider 100% attendance · median parse 75 · consumables 81% · no recent loot | 1.00 | 0.75 | 0.81 | 0.0 | 89.6 |
| Morrowen Ashby · Raider 94% attendance · median parse 75 · consumables 90% · 4.3 points of recent loot | 0.94 | 0.75 | 0.90 | 4.3 | 85.4 |
Three real rows from the current standings (built 2026-10-12 — the dashboard is always the live truth). A raider who maxes everything they personally control tops the list; recent gear pushes a raider down for a few resets, then ages out; a half-full consumable bar is a few points a raider can fix by the next raid.
The score measures standing — who has earned priority. It deliberately does not measure fit — who benefits most from this exact drop. On loot night the council sees both, side by side:
/wish, or import your WoWSims / Sixty Upgrades export). Your list is your voice: rank things honestly and the system argues for you. Rankings lock at phase start — after that nobody edits anything: items you win are crossed off automatically from the loot history, and the council reads your remaining ranks as committed at the start of the phase. The published rule: among raiders with a legitimate claim, the item goes to the highest Priority Score — unless the council overrides, and every override is logged with a one-line reason anyone can read. Overrides are expected during progression; silent ones are not.
/wish add, /wish import (paste a WoWSims or Sixty Upgrades JSON export), /wish list. Update yours when your goals change; a stale list only weakens your own case. Officers ask the bot /whowants item and get the wishlisters ranked by live Priority.Numbers shown (50/15/35 weights, effort split 30/30/20/20, 30-point weapons, 10-point tier tokens, debt gone 9 weeks after a win, ×1.5 legendary debt) are this guild's current values — every one lives in Settings → Scoring and Loot prices, and history is replayable, so tuning between phases is a one-line change; then leave them alone until the phase ends.
