Terms of service

What this is

Vortex Raid Tool is a Discord bot and website for World of Warcraft raiding guilds: loot priority, wishlists, raid assignments, boss guides and related tools. A guild's Discord server admin sets it up; the guild's members use it. It is run by an individual, not a company, and is not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment, Discord, Warcraft Logs or Raid-Helper.

Your account and your guild

You log in with Discord. Setting up a guild requires being an admin of that guild's Discord server; by doing so you confirm you may act for the guild. Guild admins and officers are responsible for what their guild uploads (loot history, wishlists, notes) and for their Raid-Helper key.

Plans and payment

The Free plan costs nothing. Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription billed by Stripe; the price is shown before you subscribe. You can cancel any time from the billing page and keep Pro until the paid period ends. New guilds get a Pro trial that simply ends, with nothing to cancel. Refunds for unused time are given on request within 14 days of a charge.

Referral credit. Each guild has a referral link. When another guild sets up through it and pays its first subscription invoice, one month of Pro at the monthly price is credited to the referring guild's billing account and taken off its next invoice or invoices. The referred guild's first invoice is discounted by a share of the monthly price, shown on its billing page before it subscribes; a promotion code from a partner (a streamer, a community) gives the same discount when entered at checkout. One credit per referred guild; a Discord server cannot be its own referrer; one discount per guild; credits and discounts have no cash value and are not paid out.

Fair use

Don't use the service to harass people, to scrape or overload it, or to upload data you have no right to. The operator may suspend a guild that does, or one that breaks Discord's or Warcraft Logs' terms, after trying to contact its admin.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as is. It may be unavailable, change or be discontinued; reasonable notice will be given before a shutdown and guild data can be exported on request. Loot decisions are the guild's own: the tool ranks, people decide. Liability is limited to the amount the guild paid in the last twelve months.

Ending it

A guild admin can remove the guild at any time from the servers page; that deletes its data (see the privacy policy). The operator may end the service for a guild with 30 days' notice, or immediately for abuse.

Changes and contact

Changes to these terms are announced on this page with a new date. Questions: ask us in the help Discord.
